As railway crude oil transportation has increased, so has oil train safety regulations. In the U.S., comprehensive Oil Spill Response Plans (OSRPs) are being required. Elastec offers a complete line of oil spill response equipment for rail response operations.

All-Terrain Vac
The Elastec All-Terrain Vacuum System is a high powered vacuum that is mounted on an ATV towable chassis. This unique system combines powerful vacuum abilities with the versatility of ATV vehicles. The All Terrain Vacuum System can go places that are simply not accessible by vacuum trucks. The wheels and tow bar can be removed so that the unit will sit on the bed of trucks etc.
BoomVane™
BoomVane™ is a welcome advancement in oil spill cleanup technology, simplifying the challenges of boom deployment in fast water and from advancing vessel systems. It combines the science of sailing and the art of flying a kite, powered only by the water’s current. Elastec holds multiple international patents for the original BoomVane.
Fire Boom
In the summer of 2010, we supported the controlled burn effort in the Gulf of Mexico to minimize the impact from the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. Several models of fire resistant oil boom were deployed in the early stages of the in-situ burning operation. Elastec American Fireboom and Hydro-Fire® Boom were responsible for the longest continuous burns and for eliminating the largest amount of oil from the marine environment. American Fireboom is constructed of fire-resistant ceramic materials.

We are an industry leader in the manufacture of oil containment boom. Our standard model boom is always in stock. Elastec offers a wide variety of accessories. We can also manufacture custom boom to fill individual needs.
PACS Vacuum Trailer
The rugged, trailer mounted PACS vacuum system is purpose-built for removing oil, liquids, solids, and sludge from reclaim pits, catch basins, wastewater lagoons, tank cars, and oil sites. It is available in a variety of blower and vane configurations. It is approved for highway towing (NATM) and can be pulled with a pickup truck, fork truck, tractor, or Multi-Purpose Crawler Carrier.
SmartAsh
SmartAsh® cyclonic barrel burner is an innovative portable incinerator that meets EPA requirements for burning non-hazardous refuse. Simply load a 55 gallon (208 liter) open-head steel drum, light the load and clamp on the lid. A whirlwind of fire and intense heat is created inside the drum, burning refuse without smoke or smell. Combustion is complete, leaving 3% ash.
TDS118
The Elastec TDS118 floating drum oil skimmer is available in pneumatic or hydraulic drive for oil spill response or industrial use. Due to its shallow draft and light weight, the TDS118 is ideal for cleanup in creeks, rivers and lakes. It is supplied with either an air or hydraulic motor. For hydraulically driven skimmers we can provide a diesel or electric driven power pack.
Work Boats
We manufacture a range of boats from multi-purpose to landing craft and customized oil spill response vessels. Elastec’s boat line includes the Omni Catamaran marina maintenance vessel, Rozema OSRV (Oil Spill Response Vessel), Elastec Kvichak/MARCO Filterbelt oil spill skimmer vessel, aluminum landing craft, and the Inlander™ workboat. We can custom build a boat to your specifications.
QuickTank
QuickTank is an open liquid storage tank with a rigid aluminum frame that is designed for quick and easy assembly. A choice of fabrics and capacities ranging from 500 gal / 1.89 cu m to 8,000 gal / 30 cu m, as well as custom sizes, are available.
