OIL RECOVERY EQUIPMENT
TDS118 Oil Skimmer
The Elastec TDS118 floating drum oil skimmer is available in pneumatic or hydraulic drive for oil spill response or industrial use. Due to its shallow draft and light weight, the TDS118 is ideal for cleanup in oil pits, catch basins, and oil sites. It is supplied with either an air or hydraulic motor. For hydraulically driven skimmers we can provide a diesel or electric driven power pack.
TDS136 Oil Skimmer
The Elastec TDS136 floating drum oil skimmer is designed for continuous duty in oil spill or industrial applications. The TDS136 skimmer is ideal for skimming oil in reclaim pits, catch basins and oil sites. The TDS136 has been tested at Ohmsett to substantiate its nameplate capacity and efficiency.
MiniMax Oil Skimmer
The Elastec MiniMax is a robust and reliable drum oil skimmer designed for industrial applications. The standard skimmer frame is manufactured in High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), making it resistant to many chemicals found in lagoons, sumps, separators and oil pits.
SeaSkater Weir Skimmer
The SeaSkater is a self-adjusting weir oil skimmer, it represents a significant step forward in weir skimmer design. Conventional weir skimmers typically have the float frame under the skimmer, the unique SeaSkater has it above to reduce draft. The SeaSkater has large diameter floats to increase the water line beam, combined with lightweight design, results in a new generation of weir skimmers.

PACS Vacuum Trailer
The rugged, trailer mounted PACS vacuum system is purpose-built for removing oil, liquids, solids, and sludge from reclaim pits, catch basins, wastewater lagoons, tank cars, and oil sites. It is available in a variety of blower and vane configurations. It is approved for highway towing (NATM) and can be pulled with a pickup truck, fork truck or tractor.
SmartAsh Incinerator
SmartAsh cyclonic barrel burner is an innovative portable incinerator that meets EPA requirements for burning non-hazardous refuse. Simply load a 55 gallon (208 liter) open-head steel drum, light the load and clamp on the lid. A whirlwind of fire and intense heat is created inside the drum, burning refuse without smoke or smell. Combustion is complete, leaving 3% ash.
Simplex Containment Boom
Simplex boom is an industry standard oil containment boom. Its lightweight and reliable construction makes it ideal for use in oil pits. Simplex is an inexpensive boom, yet it features a high buoyancy reserve provided by stable closed cell foam log floats. American Marine, a division of Elastec, has been manufacturing quality floating boom and barrier products since 1967.
PermaFence Containment Boom
The PermaFence containment boom is designed for permanent installations and minimum maintenance. It can be used in oil pits to contain oil where it can then be skimmed. This heavy-duty boom is capable of withstanding long-term deployments and the arduous conditions of permanent installations. Our specially molded foam filled floats have a unique design that greatly enhances the impact resistance while providing high buoyancy reserve. These floats are produced in HDPE material that provides excellent UV and abrasion resistance.
SuperSwamp Containment Boom
SuperSwamp boom is a small oil containment boom suitable for use in oil pits. Booms can be used to contain oil in pits where it can then be skimmed with a drum skimmer. It is fitted with a cylindrical closed cell foam float and galvanized ballast chain.
QuickTank Liquid Storage Tank
QuickTank is an open liquid storage tank with a rigid aluminum frame that is designed for quick and easy assembly. A choice of fabrics and capacities ranging from 500 gal / 1.89 cu m to 8,000 gal / 30 cu m, as well as custom sizes, are available.
Oil Absorbent Booms and Pads
Oil spill absorbents are pads and booms that can be quickly deployed for spill response. They work by picking up and retaining the oil. The used absorbents can be safely burned on-site in the Elastec SmartAsh® cyclonic barrel burner. For small spills, absorbents may be used as the sole cleanup method, while for larger spills, they may be used to clean up residual oil that can not be reached by skimmers. Elastec offers several types of oil spill absorbents. We can also provide custom clean up response kits.
