SUCTION SKIMMERS

Elastec manufactures floating suction oil skimmers for coupling to external suction pumps. They skim the top layer from the surface of the water and can recover a variety of oils or liquids. These skimmers can be used in conjunction with an industrial vacuum system. A suction oil skimmer works like a household vacuum cleaner on the surface of the water. Its floating head sucks oil into a holding tank. Suction skimmers, such as Elastec’s ShovelHead, perform best in calm water while the SeaSkater can operate in open waters.
