ROV Skimmer
The Elastec ROV skimmer is a remotely controlled device that is designed to provide an effective method of oil recovery from a variety of situations. It can be maneuvered into spaces where a it would be difficult to deploy a traditional fixed oil skimmer. The patented drums rotate on the surface of the water collecting oil as they turn. The wipers remove the oil from the drums into the skimmer collection trough. The pump transfers the recovered oil from the skimmer trough and deposits it in the oil recovery tank. Once full, the system can be driven back to shore to discharge the collected oil into a larger container for reuse or disposal.
