MiniMax Oil Skimmer
The Elastec MiniMax (Specs) is a robust and reliable drum oil skimmer designed for industrial and food oil processing applications. The standard skimmer frame is manufactured in High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), making it resistant to many chemicals found in lagoons, sumps, separators and oil pits. For food processing applications, the MiniMax can be manufactured with a stainless steel frame and drums for resistance to chemicals and high temperatures. The CE mark is a European Union conformity mark that indicates that a product has met all the relevant health, safety, and environmental requirements of the European Union legislation. It allows the product to be freely sold within the European Economic Area.
Waste Oil Recovery: The MiniMax oil skimmer is ideal for multiple waste oil recovery applications. The motor, gearbox and drums are capable of thousands of hours of trouble-free operations. The scrapers are self-adjusting to allow for wear. The MiniMax is supplied with either an air or hydraulic motor and a choice of oil pumps. MiniMax oil skimmers are capable of recovering both light and heavy oils with very low water content, typically around only 2 to 3%.
For acidic environments, the HDPE frame construction is recommended. The shafts and bearing are upgraded to stainless steel. In this configuration, MiniMax is widely operated in the copper mining industry recovering organic oils in acidic ponds.
Food Oil Processing: For food oil processing (palm, soybean, canola, corn, cottonseed, peanut, and sunflower) applications, the Minimax can be manufactured with a stainless steel frame and drums. The MiniMax is widely used in the palm oil industry for the recovery of waste oils. For this application, the oil must be heated to a high temperature to make it fluid. MiniMax is capable of withstanding these temperatures as well as the corrosive conditions.
